Networking has made us stronger

Networking

The last six months have been a challenge for all businesses. Some sectors enjoying record business; others shut down with no idea when they will return to normal.

I belong to a Canterbury business networking club.

I have always seen it as a source of new business, but more importantly, as a support network. When you work for yourself, having network support is critical.  It makes you and your business stronger. We share good times and bad; we share ideas and information; we support each, and we collaborate.

Since March, we have moved our vibrant breakfast meetings online. These meetings have allowed us all to keep in touch, develop new work and get support.  Interestingly, members attending online meetings are mostly reporting an uplift in business. (August was a record month for my business.) I am confident that the positivity and support of the group have been essential to surviving this difficult period and coming out of it more robust.

As we look forward, we have a networking group that has grown in size in 2020. We have also grown in confidence and our relationships. Networking has made us stronger. Returning to our breakfast meetings in October, it will be so good to see everyone and to know that we got through this crisis together.

Please contact me if you are interested in being part of a great networking organisation.
