Why your recruitment agency needs Professional IT support.

Not long after I started working for myself, my little laptop had a meltdown. You never think it will happen to you. Believe me, it will if you do not have the right support in place. This event could have spelt disaster and potentially the end of my business.

I own and run a small recruitment agency and a growing job listing board. Like many small businesses, I have a lot of things occupying my time, but I am pleased to say IT support is not one of those.

I do not have to worry about Windows updates, cyber security and safe back-ups; they are all taken care of.

Not long after I started working for myself, my little laptop had a meltdown. You never think it will happen to you. Believe me, it will if you do not have the right support in place. This event could have spelt disaster and potentially the end of my business.

I was fortunate to be a member of the BoB networking group, where a local IT Support business, JJ Systems, was a fellow member. They resolved the laptop issue and then put me on their support contract. That was thirteen years ago! I have never looked back, and any IT issue has been promptly taken care of.

Just think of the issues your business would have if you could not access emails from candidates or clients or lost your CVs or contact details.

As a managed service provider, JJ Systems supports my business with:
  • Automatic daily backup of my data to a secure UK site
  • Monitoring and maintenance cover for laptops and PCs, giving me health checks and updates
  • Remote phone support to resolve software and hardware issues
  • Anti-virus & Malware protection
  • Microsoft Exchange Professional email for a range of email domains
  • Mailbox hosting & support
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Domain hosting & support
  • Advice on system upgrades
This is what professional IT support looks like for me. In addition, JJ Systems can offer other IT-related services, including Managed Print Services, VOIP telecom, and Fibre & Leased Line connections, to name a few. If you are serious about running your business efficiently, then you need to have professionally managed IT services.

You can look at it any way you want, but it is unlikely that getting a friend or family member who “knows about computers” will give anywhere near this level of knowledge and support.

Professional support does cost, but consider the financial and reputational loss to your business if, one day, your IT has a meltdown and you arer not supported.
